8月に北海道大学にて開催される国際ワークショップ Physics of Open Systems and Beyond (POS&BYD) の口頭/ポスター講演の登録締切が5月12日（金）に迫ってまいりましたので、再送いたします。
本ワークショップは近年注目を集めている開放系の物理に焦点をあてます。古典系から量子系まで幅広いテーマの研究者が一堂に会して、新しい開放系の物理を創発することを目指します。
また、本ワークショップは以下の通り、28th International Conference on Statistical Physics (Statphys28)のサテライト会議となりました。

< 国際サマースクール >
ワークショップの前後に、主にワークショップの海外招待講演者を講師とした開放系のサマースクールをハイブリッド形式で行います。
前半（非エルミート量子力学・GKSL方程式入門）がワークショップ前の8月12日（土）から16日（水）まで、
後半（非エルミート・トポロジカル相、生物系）がワークショップ後の8月24日（木）から29日（火）までです。
ただし27日（日）は北海道マラソンのため休止します。
サマースクールの登録は2023年6月1日（木）～7日（水）です。
本サマースクールは、Hokkaido Summer Instituteの一環として開講します。受講するためには、北海道大学への申請、および受講料の納付が必要となります。ご興味のある方は早めに以下のサイトをご覧になって必要書類をご準備ください。

It is our great pleasure to announce an upcoming international workshop entitled “Physics of Open Systems and Beyond (POS&BYD). The workshop focuses on physics of open systems, which is attracting much attention recently. We hope to explore new aspects of open systems, gathering researchers working on wide areas of classical and quantum open systems.
We are happy to announce that POS&BYD has been upgraded to a satellite meeting of the 28th International Conference on Statistical Physics (Statphys28), which will be held in Tokyo from August 7th to 11th,2023.

< Registration >
We opened the early registration. If you make the registration for on-site participation by May 12,
we will announce the notice of acceptance by the end of May.
Note that the registration for the summer school described below will be from June 1 through June 7.
< International Summer Schools >
The workshop will be accompanied by two summer schools (in hybrid format) in which mainly invited speakers of the workshop will give lectures on physics of open systems. The first school from August 12 through 16, before the workshop, will be on introductions of non-Hermitian physics and the GKSL equation. The second school from August 24 through 29, after the workshop, will be on advanced topics including non-Hermitian topological physics and biological systems.
Note that we have a day off on August 27, due to the Hokkaido marathon event.
The summer schools are opened as a part of the Hokkaido Summer Institute.
To join the schools, you will need to apply to Hokkaido University and pay the tuition fees.
The application period will be from June 1 through June 7.
